Did you know that? Most anti-wrinkle creams for women and men consist mainly of lots of chemicals! These include harmful silicones, which make sense when laying tiles. But in face creams too? Unfortunately, that's not the only truth about anti-ageing creams that you probably don't know yet! But first things first...

Probably every woman and every man over 40 has stood in front of the mirror and thought to themselves: "I've got a few little wrinkles on my face that are making me look old. What can I do about it?" The answer: anti-wrinkle or so-called anti-ageing creams. Of course, they don't make the skin look younger, but they can certainly work against small wrinkles and make the skin look healthier and fresher. So far so good!

1. which anti-ageing cream is the best against annoying wrinkles?

The one with hyaluronic acid? The cream with extra moisture? An anti-wrinkle cream with lots of vitamins? Or a day cream with collagen, hyaluronic acid and coenzyme Q10? It's not so easy to keep track of all the products on offer - or so you think. But the answer is quite simple ...

It's better not to ask what the day cream or night cream should contain. Instead, ask what it should NOT contain!

Did
you knowthat the vast majority of anti-ageing creams contain chemicals that dry out the skin, make it sick and age it faster in the long term? In order to make the skin look smoother and healthier, the vast majority of creams contain chemical substances that work very well OPTICALLY, but can have fatal consequences for the skin in the long term. One of these substances is silicone!

2. why silicones do not belong on the skin

Silicones are synthetic (i.e. artificially produced) polymers that are obtained from crude oil and hide behind cryptic names such as "pheynil trimethicone", "cyclomethicone", "dimethicone" or "polysiloxane". The advantage of silicone for the industry is that it is very versatile. It can be used for tiling, baking or in medicine. In the cosmetics industry, silicone is often used to smooth out wrinkles.

The problem with this is that silicone in anti-wrinkle creams only "plasters over" wrinkles WITHOUT tackling the cause in the long term, nourishing the skin and effectively combating fine lines.
In addition, skin creamed with silicone becomes less permeable to oxygen and moisture. Sweat glands and pores are also "sealed". The skin is literally "plastered over" or "sealed" and can no longer breathe properly or regenerate itself.

What makes tilers happy - it is precisely because of these properties that they use silicone in construction - is harmful to human skin in the long term. And the actual problems of the skin are not remedied, but only "painted over" and thereby exacerbated
. The skin becomes brittle due to frequent "painting over", which means that even more creams containing silicone are used, thereby exacerbating the problem. This means that silicone in skin creams does not combat wrinkles, but makes them even deeper in the medium term. A vicious circle that any consumer can easily break!

So don't hide your wrinkles behind a silicone mask, but fight the cause of premature skin ageing by using NATURAL anti-ageing creams that are FREE from silicone!

3. why does the cosmetics industry rely so heavily on silicone in creams and shampoos?

The answer is quite simple: silicone is extremely cheap to produce and easy to process. And the optical (supposedly) skin-smoothing effect of such creams cannot be denied... if you are prepared to pay the long-term price.

4. silicones harm the skin and the environment!

It gets worse ... because silicones are not only harmful to the skin, but also to the environment. Apart from the fact that the production process generates a lot of harmful CO2, it gets into the water cycle via our shower water and ultimately into our drinking water and thus into our bodies! This is the reason why the Federal Environment Agency has been recommending for years that silicones in cosmetics should be avoided altogether.

However, the chemical/cosmetics industry obviously doesn't care, as products containing silicone sell extremely well. Unless ... more consumers become more critical of the ingredients in their cosmetic products and switch to 100% natural cosmetics.

5. keep your eyes open when buying cosmetics

Always check the ingredients before buying cosmetics. A little tip: If an ingredient ends in "-xane" or "-cone", it is better to give the product a wide berth.

6. mega-problem "microplastics"

According to a study, 922 tons of microplastics are used in Germany's cosmetic products every year.1 Unbelievable, isn't it?

7 Which other chemical ingredients in anti-ageing creams are bad for the skin?

Unfortunately, it's not just silicone that causes the above problems. Also steer clear of cosmetics that contain mineral oils, alcohol or parabens. These are also very common in conventional cosmetic products and are harmful to the skin, health and the environment.

8 The alternative: natural cosmetics!

Natural cosmetics must not contain any of these harmful ingredients and can still help in the fight against wrinkles and dry skin. 100% natural - 100% effective and without being tested on animals! Although natural cosmetics generally cost a little more than "conventional" chemical cosmetics, this is a small price to pay for your good looks, the environment, animal welfare and your good health.

You can make a positive contribution to health and the environment with your next purchase. A look at the ingredient lists of skin care products is a good place to start. Of course, even natural cosmetics cannot reverse the ageing process. But they can help to give the skin a fresher complexion, strengthen the skin and provide it with important moisture and lipids, as well as making it firmer. A good anti-ageing cream therefore doesn't have to be packed with chemicals and can still give you a visibly better appearance! This also applies to sensitive skin and different skin types.

By the way: 100% natural, certified anti-ageing products that have 100% NOT been tested on animals ... can be found here.
