THE 5 BIGGEST DIET LIES
The answers often come from people with half-knowledge, from diet experts who are not experts. Good that there are still real professionals: Nutritionists. And we asked them which weight loss tips you should quickly forget:

. LOW-FAT PRODUCTS ARE THE BEST
People who want to lose weight like to opt for low-fat product variants: low-fat yogurt, light ice cream, potato chips with less fat, etc. But these foods don't usually do much good. Because fat is now missing as a flavor carrier, the sugar content of these products is often increased. In other words, 30% less fat in ice cream does not mean 30% fewer calories. It's better to eat a balanced diet - and above all consciously! Especially as there are also healthy fats, e.g. in nuts, seeds and kernels.
2. LIGHT SODAS ARE HEALTHY
Whether "sugar-free", "light" or "zero" - they all advertise low-calorie sodas. Although these themselves do not make you fat, studies show that light consumers are more likely to gain weight than lose it. This is due to the misconception that they are saving huge amounts of calories when drinking - so that they can recharge their batteries in the form of sweets or cakes. Here, too, it is better to enjoy in moderation!
3. SMOOTHIES CAN REPLACE MEALS
Juices and smoothies taste good and are often healthy. However, those who "squeeze" and "juice" unfortunately miss out on the important fibers in fruit and vegetables - also known as dietary fiber. And it is precisely this fiber that keeps you full for a long time - and is also virtually calorie-free.
4. sweetener is better than sugarThere's no question that too
much sugar is unhealthy. But that doesn't mean that artificial sweeteners are any healthier. On the contrary - they can unbalance the intestinal flora, for example. And that can have nasty effects: Flatulence, headaches, skin problems and even an increased susceptibility to infections. It is better to use sugar sparingly or to use natural sugar substitutes (e.g. erythritol).
5. MANY SMALL MEALS ARE BETTER THAN FEW LARGE MEALSWhen it comes to
losing weight, it doesn't matter whether you eat two, three or five meals a day. What matters is the total amount of calories you eat each day - this must be less than the amount of energy you burn. This is how the body draws on fat reserves and breaks them down. Incidentally, you rarely put on weight because of the main meals. It's usually the many "snacks" in between that make the calorie balance look bad ...
