REPLACING FOOD MAKES LOSING WEIGHT EASIER
DIET - PLEASURE OR FRUSTRATION?
Whether it's a low-carb diet, switching to Paleo or losing weight with cabbage soup - all diets have one thing in common: you give up certain foods. And we understandably associate going without with something negative. This is frustrating and often leads to the diet being abandoned.
CHANGE INSTEAD OF GIVING UP!
Instead of being annoyed about giving up beloved foods, you should change your eating habits, i.e. replace fattening foods with healthier ones. And who knows, you might even discover some new favorite treats. Here are a few suggestions:
DARK CHOCOLATE INSTEAD OF MILK CHOCOLATE
As the name suggests, it tastes a little more bitter, but contains more valuable cocoa and less sugar. And: cocoa curbs the desire for sweet and fatty foods!
BROWN RICE INSTEAD OF WHITE RICE
Brown rice fills you up for longer. The body takes longer to break down its carbohydrates, which prevents cravings.
GREEK YOGURT INSTEAD OF CONVENTIONAL FRUIT YOGURTS
Greek yogurt has almost twice as much healthy protein as normal fruit yogurt, but much less sugar, i.e. carbohydrates. Although the fat content is higher, it fills you up faster and tastes much fuller.
CARROTS AND KOHLRABI INSTEAD OF STUDENT FOOD
Doesn't sound tempting? Try it out first! Because it's often enough for us to nibble on something: The main thing is that we have a crunchy feeling between our teeth. Nuts and raisins are also healthy, but extremely high in calories compared to vegetables.
BANANAS INSTEAD OF BANANA CHIPS
Banana chips sound healthy, but they are deep-fried and soaked in sugar. Go for fresh bananas instead - they are also full of vitamins and minerals.
RICE CAKES INSTEAD OF CROISSANTS
Rice cakes have only a fraction of the calories of croissants and bread rolls. The small crispy pieces also go well with any topping.
POPCORN INSTEAD OF CHIPS
Popcorn has fewer calories than potato chips - and significantly less fat. It's best not to add sugar to the popcorn. And you get that movie theater feeling to boot!
So you see, switching to healthier foods doesn't mean having to give up everything. Try it for yourself.
