^Ester-C® is very well tolerated by acid-sensitive people

In a randomized, double-blind crossover study on 50 healthy volunteers - who are, however, sensitive to acidic foods - the aim was to find out whether ^Ester-C® is really more stomach-friendly than conventional vitamin C. For nine days, both types of vitamin C were tested and evaluated by two study groups. The result was clear: 72% of all test subjects gave ^Ester-C® the highest rating of "very good". The researchers also came to the conclusion that ^Ester-C® is much better tolerated by acid-sensitive people compared to "normal" vitamin C.

The problem with artificial, acidic vitamin C

Artificially produced vitamin C (isolated ascorbic acid) is not only much less well absorbed by the body than natural vitamin C - some sensitive people react "acidically" to this synthetic vitamin C with a feeling of fullness, acid regurgitation or heartburn.
