High-dose Q10 capsules + vitamin B1
Get to know the vegan COENZYM Q10 capsules from the Vitactiv brand - with 200 mg of the valuable coenzyme per daily dose!
Are you over 40 years old? Do you do a lot of sport or work hard physically? Are you often under stress or do you smoke? Then you may be suffering from a coenzyme Q10 deficiency.
Normally, the heart has one of the highest concentrations of Q10 in the body - a Q10 deficiency should therefore be avoided at all costs. The ingredients in Vitactiv COENZYM Q10 contribute to the normal function of the heart, nervous system and energy metabolism - and normal mental function is also supported*.
Our food supplement impresses with the best premium quality, each individual batch laboratory-tested by an independent German institute.
Coenzyme Q10 as a dietary supplement
Scientists have been studying the use of Q10 for humans for more than 30 years. It is therefore not surprising that coenzyme Q10 is becoming increasingly popular as a dietary supplement - e.g. as capsules or Q10 tablets. In Japan and the USA, the vital substance has been recognized and valued as an essential substance for many years.
Q10 is a substance produced naturally in the body. It is partly absorbed through food, but is also produced in the body itself. In every human cell, the energy from food is converted into the body's own energy (ATP). As a coenzyme, Q10 is involved in the component of energy metabolism that produces 95% of the body's total energy (ATP). The organs with the highest energy requirements - above all the heart, lungs and liver - therefore also have the highest Q10 concentration.
Q10 is found in foods, e.g. in:
- liver
- Oily fish (sardines, mackerel)
- cabbage
- Brussels sprouts
- broccoli
But CAUTION: Cooking can destroy the coenzyme in the respective food (the same applies to vitamins)!
Causes of a Q10 deficiency
In addition to a diet low in Q10, age also plays a role. With increasing age, the body's ability to synthesize Q10 decreases and the Q10 concentration drops. In some cases, a Q10 deficiency occurs.
All important organs, especially the heart, are affected by the age-related decrease in Q10 concentration. For example, the heart of a 40-year-old person has a coenzyme Q10 content that is around 30 percent lower than that of a 20-year-old. In an 80-year-old, the concentration is even around 60 percent lower. If the level drops by more than 75 percent, the viability of the human organism is at risk.
How does a Q10 deficiency manifest itself?
A deficiency can manifest itself in a variety of symptoms:
- Lack of energy and tiredness
- Muscle weakness and pain
- Heart problems
- Impaired cognitive functions
- Immune deficiency
People who are physically active or do sport may also experience reduced performance and longer recovery times.
Other factors can also cause a Q10 deficiency
Under certain circumstances, there is an increased need for coenzyme Q10. In addition to the age-related decrease in Q10 content, severe stress can cause a Q10 deficiency. Such stresses include: severe psychological stress (family, job), heavy physical exertion (athletes, hard work), unhealthy lifestyle (smoking, alcohol), illnesses (diabetes, heart failure, etc.).

When to take Q10 - in the morning or in the evening?
Some experts recommend not taking a Q10 supplement too late in the day to ensure optimal sleep. In general, however, the optimal time to take it can vary from person to person. It is best to adapt your intake to your personal daily rhythm and individual needs.
In any case, it makes sense to take it with a meal. Coenzyme Q10 is fat-soluble, which means that it is best taken with a meal containing fat. This promotes the absorption of the supplement by your body.
