The ingredients in a serum are particularly highly concentrated. In addition, the molecular structure is significantly smaller than that of a cream. These two factors allow a serum to penetrate much deeper into the skin. A serum is therefore always applied BEFORE the cream. Even a small amount of just a few drops is sufficient, which is why a serum is very economical.

Is a niacinamide serum right for me?

Niacinamide-containing skincare products may be of particular interest to you if your facial skin has at least one of the following issues:

• Blemishes such as pimples and/or blackheads
• Red or dark discoloration after inflamed skin areas (pimple marks)
• Large pores
• Oily skin that quickly becomes oily and shiny
• Pigment spots, age spots

The fact that such undesirable skin conditions occur at all is due to excessively active sebum production. The T-zone - forehead, nose, chin - is usually the area most affected by blemishes and oily patches of skin, as this is where most of the sebaceous glands are located.

If excess sebum or dead skin cells clog the pores, impurities develop and the pores enlarge. Enlarged pores in turn make it easier for germs and bacteria to penetrate the skin barrier, which can lead to new blackheads, spots and inflammation.

To break this vicious circle, it makes sense not only to combat existing impurities, but also to tackle their cause at the same time to prevent them from reappearing.

Niacinamide, the heart of our beauty serum

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and one of the most effective ingredients in cosmetics for a more even complexion.
This is due to these various factors:

1. niacinamide regulates sebum production

If the amount of sebum produced by the skin is directed back into its normal channels, this ensures cleansed pores and thus prevents the formation of new pimples.

2. niacinamide reduces hyperpigmentation such as redness and age spots

Hyperpigmentation is caused by excessive production of the pigment melanin. By regulating or reducing melanin production in the melanocytes (= melanin-producing cells), niacinamide can reduce discoloration of the skin.

3. niacinamide strengthens the skin barrier

Last but not least, niacinamide also supports the production of ceramides. Ceramides are important for an intact skin barrier as they help the skin to retain moisture and protect it from harmful environmental influences such as dirt, bacteria and free radicals.

Our serum contains a niacinamide concentration of 2%, as this is generally well tolerated even by sensitive skin.

Incidentally, niacinamide is also known as nicotinamide, but should not be confused with nicotinic acid, which is much more aggressive and can lead to skin irritation/redness.

The supplementary ingredients for balancing care

Niacinamide is already a very powerful vitamin with a wealth of benefits for your complexion. However, our serum also contains other ingredients that soothe the skin and provide it with an extra dose of moisture.

Acetyl glucosamine

Acetyl glucosamine (AG for short) is a naturally occurring amino sugar compound. It promotes the synthesis of hyaluronic acid and thus improves the skin's moisture supply. AG also has a gentle exfoliating effect, i.e. it removes dead skin cells from the surface without irritating the skin barrier. The combination of acetyl glucosamine with niacinamide also increases the chances of lightening hyperpigmentation .

True camomile & pennywort

True camomile has a long tradition - both for soothing gastrointestinal complaints, e.g. in the form of tea, and for healing wounds through external application.

The flower extract contains up to 50% of the valuable active ingredient alpha-bisabolol, which has been shown to have soothing, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. The flavone apigenin it also contains can reduce skin irritations such as redness .

Pennywort (botanical name: Centella asiatica) is also a popular ingredient for soothing and wound-healing skin care due to its anti-inflammatory properties - all on a purely natural basis.

Licorice root

If you only know licorice root as the plant substance from which licorice is made, you've been missing out - licorice root is also a true all-rounder for sensitive skin. By curbing the activity of inflammation-promoting enzymes, it can significantly reduce redness and swelling in particular. Gentle care helps the skin regain its natural microbial balance.

If you look at the ingredients of our serum, you will find the licorice root under its botanical name "Glycyrrhiza glabra".

Non-comedogenic - an important aspect for acne and blackheads

If your skin is prone to blemishes, you should always use "non-comedogenic" skincare products. The term "comedogenic" refers to ingredients that can promote the formation of blackheads, also known as comedones. Comedogenic products can therefore clog the pores even further. This can lead to even more irritation, especially with acne or oily skin.

All ingredients in BEAUTY NIACINAMID SERUM are non-comedogenic.

Using NIACINAMID SERUM - it's that simple

Now that you know what the ingredients in our beauty serum can do for your facial skin, let's move on to the next step: the correct application.

Depending on your needs, you can use the serum once or twice a day. Apply a few drops to a thoroughly cleansed face, massage in and allow to absorb well.

If using in the morning, apply a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 afterwards.
For evening use, apply a moisturizing night cream after the serum.

The light texture of the serum is non-sticky and non-greasy and ensures a matt complexion during the day.

Can be applied one after the other. First hyaluronic acid, then niacinamide once fully absorbed.
